"During my time in law school, I not only was able to gain my Juris Doctor — I was able to leave a positive change in the community." — Student Testimonial
When I came to ASL, I found a group of students eager to learn, optimistic about the future, full of zeal and a sense of calling. I also found a team of experienced educators who love to teach and love their students, and who truly understood the magnitude of their mission. — Justice (ret.) Elizabeth McClanahan

Aiming high — From 2019 to 2020, ASL increased its top quartile LSAT score for incoming students by more points than any other ABA-accredited law school.
ASL cultivates an environment of cooperation, support, and collaboration. It strives to challenge students to succeed but also gives them the tools they need to do so. ASL embraces all of the positive attributes of small-town life in its approach to learning. Meaning everyone will know your name, faculty and staff will always be accessible, and you will have the most supportive on and off-campus environment to start building your legal career.
ASL is on the move. We have structured over a dozen partnerships with education, business, and government leaders in health care, cybersecurity, engineering, and natural resources. We are always looking for ways to positively impact communities and the legal profession. Click here to find out more!
Without lawyers, the Rule of Law would be a vain dream: the parlor talk of the chattering class, a mirage that some claim to see but never truly exists.
No great legal victories in the courts or the boardrooms or the town square just happen. There is almost always a lawyer there advocating for his or her client, seeking justice by their lights, calling upon others to recognize the inherent rights to fair play and equal treatment. ASL believes in cultivating well-rounded attorneys – people that rigorously study and respect the law and care about their clients and communities.
