Each spring, during the next-to-last SBA meeting of the academic year, the newly elected Student Bar Association (SBA) board is officially sworn in — and this year’s new board is ready to serve. These students campaigned, connected with their peers, and earned their roles through a student vote.
The Student Bar Association is the voice of the student body at ASL. SBA organizes events, represents student interests, works with administration, and fosters a strong sense of community within the law school. It’s a vital leadership organization that helps shape the ASL experience.
Outgoing President, Sidney McLaughlin remarked “I wish to extend my sincere gratitude to the entire student body for entrusting me with the responsibility of Student Body President during the 2024-2025 academic year. It has been an honor to serve in this capacity.
Looking forward, I have full confidence in the incoming leadership under Mr. Joe Pullen and welcome the new representatives joining the Student Bar Association.
I would like to formally acknowledge each organization for their consistent professionalism and collaborative spirit throughout my tenure. I am particularly grateful to those students who brought their concerns to my attention, allowing me to address issues directly or raise awareness for matters requiring future resolution.
I extend my best wishes to each of you as you continue your academic and professional journeys.”
