At Appalachian School of Law, the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff are of the utmost importance. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for everyone on our campus.
We offer a range of health and safety services to support our community. Our campus is equipped with First-Aid kits in strategic locations for emergency use.
We also have a campus safety and security team that provides daily patrol and monitoring services to ensure the safety of our community. Our team works closely with local law enforcement to ensure a quick and effective response in case of any emergency.
All entrances to campus buildings are locked and accessible only with electronic key cards. If you have lost your student, faculty, or staff ID key card, please contact Security (security@asl.edu) and the Director of Information Services, Brian Presley (bpresley@my.asl.edu).
We strongly encourage our community to prioritize their own health and safety, which is why we offer a range of resources and programs to promote wellness, mental health, and safety awareness. These resources include counseling services, workshops, and training sessions on personal safety and similar topics.
If you have any questions or concerns related to health and safety, please do not hesitate to reach out to our team. Director of Security at ASL, Michael Kirkpatrick, is available to all students, faculty, and staff, by phone (276-312-4918) at all hours of the day.
